What's On The Course?
To learn the background knowledge needed to boost a retail career. An Apprenticeship in Retail helps build a broad understanding of the sector whether learners are new to the industry or already working in retail.
Assessment Information
- A Minimum of 37 Credits to achieve the Diploma.
- 8 Credits achieved from the mandatory units.
- Learners will learn via work based learning or on a taught course.
Skills (worked based learning)
7536-23: Diploma in Retail Skills
Knowledge (on line examination)
1013-22 Level 2 in Retail Knowledge
Functional Skills, English Level 1, & Numeracy Level 1
Learners will have to attend College a minimum of five times, this into allow them to complete their induction, and sit on line examinations.
How Long Does It Take?
The apprenticeship takes 18 months.
When Does It Start?
The Apprenticeship can start at any time.
Who Is It Suitable For?
The Level 2 Apprenticeship is aimed at learners who want to develop skills and knowledge in the industry.
What Are The Entry Requirements?
The student needs to be employed in a retail environment.
Successful completion of initial assessment.
What Can I Do Next?
On the completion of level 2 Apprenticeship learners can progress on to a Level 3 Apprenticeship.
How Much Does It Cost?
Apprenticeships are Government Funded; however you will be expected to provide basic stationery items, i.e. folder/plastic wallets for storing your NVQ evidence.
Where Does It Take Place?
The majority of the assessment is in the workplace. Minimum of five visits in college.
