How Long Does It Take?

The Apprenticeship will last up to 18 months, with on-line tests in college.


When Does It Start?

The apprenticeship can start at any time. It’s a role on role off course.


Who Is It Suitable For?

Anyone over the age of 18 with good experience of the catering trade.


What Are The Entry Requirements?

The course is all about food preparation and cooking and to give you the best possible chance of passing your qualification you will need to show that you have the commitment, enthusiasm and motivation to succeed.

  • Employment in an industrial kitchen as an apprentice, a minimum of 16 hours a week
  • Excellent record of attendance and punctuality
  • Good communication skills
  • A personal interview


What Can I Do Next?

Progress onto a higher level NVQ; promotion within the workplace or further career options in administration.


How Much Does It Cost?

The Apprenticeship is fully funded by the Government.


Where Does It Cost?

In the work place with online tests at college (40mins each)
