Whats on the course?
The aim of this Apprenticeship is to provide the Warehousing Industry with staff who have the knowledge, skills and confidence to help their businesses grow and to provide a career path for Apprentices to higher level jobs and qualifications.
Assessment information
The Certificate in Warehousing and Storage at Level 2 is a combined qualification incorporating competence and knowledge, which are separately assessed.
Apprentices must achieve at least 10 credits for competence and at least 10 credits for knowledge when selecting units to meet the requirements of the SASE
The framework totals 41 credits which include competence, knowledge, the QCF Award: Employee Rights and Responsibilities in the Logistics Industry
Two Functional Skills of English and Maths Level 1.
How Long does it take?
The Apprenticeship will last for approximately 12 months, with 1 day a week in college and 4 days with your employer.
When does it start?
Open to inductions throughout the year
Who is it suitable for?
The Level 2 Apprenticeship is aimed at learners who want to develop skills and knowledge in the industry.
What are the entry Requirements?
4 GCSE’s at grade D or 3 GCSE’s at grade D plus either Literacy or Numeracy Basic Skills Assessment at Level 1.
Good attitude to learning.
Enthusiasm for the occupational area.
Willingness to achieve your goals.
Minimum age of 16 years.
Where does it take place?
The majority of the assessment is in the workplace.
What can I do next?
On the completion of level 2 Apprenticeship learners can progress on to an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Team Leading Level 2. Intermediate / Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service.
